St. Patrick’s Shamrock Oil Pastel Workshop ☘️

One-Time Specialty Art Class | Ages 3–12+

Celebrate St. Patrick’s season with a colorful oil pastel project at Saltyclay Art and Pottery Studio! In this one-time specialty workshop, students will create a festive shamrock artwork while exploring the vibrant possibilities of oil pastels.

Students will practice layering color, blending techniques, and bold mark-making while learning how to build texture and contrast with oil pastels. This project will also include a review of the color wheel, encouraging students to think intentionally about color choices and combinations.

Each artwork will be unique and expressive—no two shamrocks will look the same.

This class is designed to be completed within one session. Please note that there will be no makeup day for this workshop.

• High-quality drawing paper
• Drawing tools and materials
• Guided instruction and creative prompts
• St. Patrick’s themed inspiration and examples

What Students Should Bring

• A sketchbook (optional but encouraged for planning ideas)
• Clothes that can get a little messy or an apron
