Valentine’s Clay Building Workshop ❤️

Week 1: Building | Ages 3–12+

Join us for a special Valentine’s-themed clay building week at Salty Clay Art & Pottery Studio! During this workshop, students will focus on hand-building with clay, learning foundational techniques while creating a functional or decorative clay piece inspired by Valentine’s themes.

This week is dedicated only to building. Students will shape, construct, and refine their clay forms while learning proper clay handling, structure, and design.

Important – Painting Options

Painting is not included in this building week.

Families have two options for finishing their clay pieces:

1. Sign up for a separate painting class

   • Painting days are offered separately and require additional registration.

2. Open Studio Painting

   • Families may return during regular business hours to paint and finish the piece together.

This allows flexibility while ensuring students have enough time to focus on strong building skills during class.

What We’ll Provide

• Clay and hand-building tools

• Guided instruction and demonstrations

• Valentine-inspired project ideas and examples

• Firing of completed pieces

What Students Should Bring

• Clothes that can get messy or an apron

• A sketchbook (optional, for planning ideas)

• Ages 9–11 | 4:00–5:30 PM

Thursday, Feb 12

• Ages 3–6 | 4:00–4:45 PM

• Ages 12+ | 5:30–7:00 PM

Please Note

• This workshop covers building only.

• Painting requires separate registration or completion during open studio hours.

• This is a specialty workshop and projects are designed to be completed during the scheduled build time.

• No makeup classes are available for missed sessions.
