Choose Your Hand Building with Clay Creative Adventure!
Give your child the gift of imagination, confidence, and fun! Each two-hour session is a hands-on sensory experience designed to spark creativity and build new art skills in an encouraging, playful environment. From clay to mixed media to painting, every project is made to inspire—and every child leaves proud of their creations! Parents can join too.

This week we will dive into creating our own unique MUG! Large or small, with the textures of your choice, learn to join basic shapes and smooth the clay too have a high quality finish.

👉 How it works:

Sign up for a full month and two weeks after each creation your child can come and paint the finished projects or wait two weeks after the last session to come and paint all of them in one big art celebration.
Sign up for just one class and your child can return anytime during regular business hours to paint their piece once it’s ready.

Description

At Saltyclay, we believe every child is an artist waiting to shine! Our Hand Building with Clay classes are thoughtfully designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and most importantly—make art fun. Each class encourages students to explore new techniques, experiment with materials, and take pride in creating something truly their own. Because spots fill quickly, we recommend registering early so your child doesn’t miss out on the chance to create, explore, and bring home their masterpieces! 🎨✨

Every session features a unique, seasonal project inspired by nature, holidays, or textures found throughout the year. For example, spring may bring colorful flower vases, while autumn might inspire cozy mugs or pumpkin sculptures. In addition, each project is curated to help students develop their clay-working skills while still embracing their personal artistic style.

Ages 6+

Each student receives 1 lb of clay per class to create that week’s project. If they have extra clay, they can build a smaller version or try a new idea. Meanwhile, students practice important concepts such as Hand Building with Clay techniques, kiln temperatures, and the stages of greenware and bisque ware. Furthermore, we cover glazing methods, color theory, and design principles that help every artist gain skill and confidence. Overall, our classes combine learning, creativity, and fun—making every session an exciting hands-on experience!
